Worked out today without usual protein supplement, supplement contains Glutamine. Slow, sluggish, no drive, couldn’t get the motor to turn over, workout wasn’t finished. If my body relied so heavily on this protein shake for performance, would it be better to cut the strings and learn to train without it? I’m getting adequate rest, so I’m pretty sure that isn’t the culprit for poor performance.

It’s hard to make a blanket statement on this. I would say that this maybe telling you that your body needs more protein.
