I’m only against the ‘lil evil things when they are consumed before a WOD with Steve and Jeff!

Burping them up for the duration pretty quickly turns ya against them!

:H

Or as Calvin (of Calvin and Hobbes) would say, “That sure tasted better going down than coming up!”

How mad would you be if we said we did it on purpose ?
Not really… But about midway into it I realized it was a bad choice.
Sorry.

Thrusters and rope climbs workout.  Those are always the worst.

I’m starting to eat raw slimy things (perfectly zoned) before every WOD in preparation for our time on the island.

It’s a sad day in the neighborhood…..

Having a most unfortunate sense of curiousity, I picked up the Nutritional Guide for Rubios and found:

Original Fish Taco: 16g Fat, 27g Carbs, 11 g Protein =
10 + blocks of Fat, 3 blocks Carbs, 1 + block Protein

Especial Fish Taco: (my personal fave)
22 grams Fat, 29 grams Carbs, 14 grams Protein =
14+ blocks Fat, 3+ blocks Carbs, 2 blocks Protein

Chicken Fiesta Salad: (what I thought was my “zone alternative” to tacos)
33 g Fat, 12g Carbs, 35 g Protein =
22 blocks Fat, 1+ block Carbs, 5 blocks Protein

Chicken Chopped Salad:
33g Fat, 35g Carbs, 37g Protein =
22 blocks Fat, 3+ blocks Carbs, 5+ blocks Protein

Baja Caesar Salad:
37g Fat, 16g Carbs, 31g Protein=
24+ blocks Fat, 1+ blocks Carbs, 4+ blocks Protein

My conclusion:  Way too many Fat blocks in this food, Carbs and Proteins not well balanced.  I hate being so inquisitive  Feel free to throw things at me and jeer.

(Based on CF Journal#21 definition of 7g Protein = 1 block, 9g Carbs = 1 block, 1.5g Fat = 1 block)

I hear GD has a standard choice from the menu when he goes to rubios…I wonder if its in the thread somewhere.

When I go to La Salsa (I like it better and I don’t eat fish tacos) I like to get the Tacos La Salsa - grilled meat, cheese and lettuce, add a little salsa and remove one tortilla from each taco. They are soft, not fried.

I don’t know if it’s exactly zone but it’s better than taco bell. smile

We have too many heroes lost and not enough workout days to commemorate them. I think it’s fitting to always think of the men and women in service, whether military or peace officers and public safety, as we do our workouts. A bit of motivation to throw a little of our sweat and maybe a drop of blood on the floor in their honor.
