“The point of CF is to get better at life.  Being unable to workout tomorrow because you were pigheaded today is not in line with our goals.”

“CrossFit is not dangerous.
Bad coaching is dangerous, poor movement is dangerous. Ego is dangerous.
CrossFit, properly scaled to the individual is the safest and most efficient program available for strength, conditioning and movement.”

Double unders are stupid unless:
1. You have no other holes in your fitness
2. You plan on competing

Workout 13.2

Warm-up:
800m Run
S/D-S Series

WOD:
4 rounds for time of:
200m Run (treadmill)
50 Sit-up
50 Superman

Time: 16:11
Used two folded towels as an abmat. Getting the treadmill up to speed slowed things down a bit. Sit-ups felt pretty good. Thought they would have been more of a slog.

Then,

Manion

Puppy

5 rds of:

Run 400 m
15 10 kg back squats

15:23

Felt too conservative, but I heeded GDs warning and picked a light weight. Could have pushed the pace more.

Weighted Vest 24lbs
10Min “Cindy”
AMRAP: 5 pull ups + 10 push ups + 15
squats

7 rounds + 2 pullups

Used the Vanguard vest with 7 weights.  Pullups were the worst, I think I could have gone a little harder.  Squats were a good break to rest.

Cool: Mobility work on shoulders, hips, and feet.

Run 400M
45# Back Squat (Oly bar only), 15 reps

400’s were on treadmill at about 6mph.  Lower back started to really get fried…probably more so from the running.

Cash out:  Back extensions

For time:
Row 1500 meters
30 One-legged squats, alternating
95 pound Hang clean, 30 reps

21:22

Squats were done standing on a box (so off leg can dangle) and holding 2 5# dumbbells for balance.  That part of the WOD still took 11 minutes.
