Warm-up: 2 rounds of 30s Sampsons + 15x each push-ups, sit-ups, and squats
WOD: 50x 45# sumo deadlift high-pulls + 20x 45# thrusters + 20x elevated beginner pull-ups. My time was 6:13 - a whopping 5 minutes faster than my previous best back in 2011. SDHPs have always been a killer for me, and today they weren’t that bad. I am very happy with this time, and will be doing a tougher scaling next time around.
To clarify though, even with being happy with my performance, this was by no means a breeze. Like last time, it left me on the floor feeling like I was close to the point of passing out. So the intensity was there and I am happy with how today went.
