There are 9 foundational movements in CrossFit.
They’re covered in the Level 1 certification and listed in the Level 1 Cert guide, which doesn’t seem to be available any more.
They’re listed here http://www.crossfitbrandx.com/index.php/forums/viewthread/6786/#111142

The points of performance for them are in what was the Level 2 cert course guide, now the Coaches Prep course. An old copy of that is still publicly accessible here, https://www.regonline.com/custImages/250000/250021/ParticipantMaterial032509.pdf, so I assume it’s OK to post:

“CrossFit is not dangerous.
Bad coaching is dangerous, poor movement is dangerous. Ego is dangerous.
CrossFit, properly scaled to the individual is the safest and most efficient program available for strength, conditioning and movement.”
