-I just got a pair of minimal shoes, when I run with them will my form be self corrected or do I need to work on it myself?
My experience is that stride length was reduced when swapping to minimalist shoes and you’ll probably discover some muscles that haven’t been worked. Most of what I’ve read says to ease into it; don’t do a 10-miler first day in your new shoes. As a recovering runner/triathlete, my running volume has decreased so much that I didn’t notice too much. I went with a 6 mm drop Inov-8 and now have a zero drop Inov-8 for trails, but I still use my Asics on the road to avoid asphalt pounding.
