Friday, July 19th, 2013 - Rope climb, Clean and Jerk

I had to leave to pick up my kids straight from work today. So, I came up with what seemed like I reasonably quick sounding WOD that I could do at work. Little did I know that it would whoop my butt pretty good.

For time:
10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1
Pull-Ups
Burpees
20-18-16-14-12-10-8-6-4-2
Squats
Every other round, run approx 300m (5 rounds)

I did all exercises unbroken, which was nice. But, I rested a good bit between them which wasn’t nice. Overall it was a fun WOD that I look forward to doing again someday when I can get that time down.

First failure due to weak shoulders, second due to weak core.


Today:

Puppy CrossFit Games Open 11.5

AMRAP in 15 minutes:

5 Power cleans 95 lbs
10 Toes to bar
15 Wall balls 20 lbs, 8’-9’ target

3 rounds +4 toes to bar

Did 3 toes to bar before scaling to “toes in the near vicinity of the bar.” As expected, toes to bar were the bottleneck.
