Last rep of BP, I got stuck under the bar. Had to wait about 30 seconds or so for someone to spot me up and then I finished the DL. Seems like I expended a lot of energy trying to get the bar back up off my chest, so when I was done I didn’t have any more gas for shoulder press. I’ll make it up tomorrow.

If there were, it would probably look something like a cockroach pinned on it’s back…with a lot of cussing!

Wednesday 130731 5:05 am start, 87 degrees in garage gym w/ cooler on.
WU: 3 rounds of: Sam stretch, 15 OHS w/pvc pipe, 15 abmat sit ups, 15 goodmornings w/45# bar, 12 pull ups, 12 dips.
Shoulder Press 5-5-5-5-5 reps
65 - 75 - 85 - 95 - 100 (1 rep) - 95 - 95
I worked on form, trying not to lean back at all to get the bar up, however, I did lean back some at 95 & 100 pounds every time. Weakness in whatever muscles it takes to get the bar up from shoulders to just over my head. Went with 2:00 minute rests between sets. May have been able to do 100 pounds with a longer rest. Did a few extra sets at 95 pounds instead, just working the movement.
Shoulder Press @ 75 pounds 10 reps - then rest 2:00 min - 8 reps (till failure).
This was fun today, a strength WOD was sort of relaxing in a way, after all the metcons the past few weeks, I needed the change.
