Happy new year, Metric and all of you.

My goals for 2014:
1. Keep working out, stay consistant
Follow the schedule, make time for even a short workout at bw if things get tight. Better to do something than nothing.

2. Stay away from injury
No overdoing things. Listen to the body. Maintain form prior to weight/time. Keep doing mobility work at a regular basis.

3. Develop the OL.
During part of 2014 go whit Catalyst program for at start beginner. Shorter metcons during this period.

4. Log progression; the good and the bad (and the outright ugly as well).
Keeping track on an app as for now. Did find a part of posting here beeing a need to be “confirmed” so took time of to get the understanding for that its not for the posting I work out but for life.
Might show up here again on how the Catalyst program works.

5. Keep the face to the sun.
Have fun, be glad that I can work out, have food on the table and friends/family that loves me. The things in life that I to often take for granted.

I did the CAG program and I really enjoyed it. One challenge I had was scaling CF while doing it. The program really works out your legs so when the CF WOD is leg centric, it can be tricky to incorporate it with the CAG workout. Also I am finding that doing about 15 mins of shoulder, wrist and finger mobility stretches helps a ton. It makes the front squats and cleans much better.

Last year’s goal not really achieved. Was definitely shooting too far on those. With such a good box to train at I don’t need quantitative goals to motivate myself though. Instead I restate why I train and how I plan to carry it out.

The reason I train:
1. To stay healthy
2. To have the physical foundation to keep a cool head in military training
3. To have fun

The plan for the coming year:
1. Train on a 2-1 schedule
2. Work extra on handstands, pull-ups and double unders
3. Start a ruck march training program for Nijmegen in 2015
