Going the wrong way lately with shoulder strength.  Not just a bad day - seems like every wod over last several months with shoulder work I’m struggling.

Finished with 2 rds of Helen in 7:34, 50 lb KB, both rds unbroken, pullups broken 8-4, 6-3-3, all kipped.

This WOD scared me as it was the first time I have done Deadlifts since I injured myself a few weeks ago.  Dr. opinion was that I strained my piriformis causing a sciatica-like reaction.  Limited ROM/muscle tightness following a marathon and deadlifts were not a good combo for me.  Anyway, went nice and slow with a lighter weight to maintain strict form.  Felt muy bueno.

A local crossfit gym that a group of my friends has started in an awesome space is having its grand opening tomorrow, and as part of it they are hosting an individual open crossfit competition benefitting the One Team One Fight group… I entered it because I wanted to add a competition and this one is pretty low key (i’ve never done one before, only been crossfitting for about 3 months). plus i wanted to support my buddies. should be fun… it’s a short and fast workout that involves mostly gymnastics elements so i actually have a shot to do well lol!
