Shoulder press 3-3-3-3-3-3-3 reps

Read this last night and did it this am but did rounds of 5 by mistake

10kg - 22lb 5x
15kg - 33lb 5x
20kg - 44lb 5x
25kg - 55lb 5x
30kg - 66lb 5x
35kg - 77lb 5x
36kg - 79lb 5x
37kg - 81lb 4x thought I’d failed as I was aiming for 5 reps
36kg - 79lb 2x third was a no go

I can’t be 100% but I think 30kg was a pr for a single shoulder press before today

“McGhee”
Corporal Ryan C. McGhee, 21, was killed in action on May 13, 2009 by small arms fire during combat in central Iraq. He served with 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment of Fort Benning, Ga. This was his fourth deployment, his first to Iraq. Ryan was engaged to Ashleigh Mitchell of Fredericksburg, VA. He is survived by his father Steven McGhee of Myrtle Beach S.C., his mother Sherrie Battle McGhee, and his brother Zachary.

Pack:
Complete as many rounds in 20 minutes as you can of:
185 pound Deadlift, 5 reps
13 Push-ups
9 Box jumps, 20 inch box
9 rounds + 5 deadlifts, 13 push-ups, and 5 box jumps.

Saturday 140524 5:30 pm start

Wu: 3 rounds of : Samson’s stretch, 5 shoulder dislocates, 15 ohs w/ PVC, 15 abmat sit-ups, 15 good-mornings w/45 pounds, dead Hang strict pull-ups to failure 10 - 9 - 8 reps in each respective round.
WOD:
Shoulder press 3-3-3-3-3-3-3 reps
85 - 95 - 100 - 105 - 110 - 115 - 120(2 reps) - 120 (2 reps)

115 PR.  I haven’t done a 3 rep press max before.  My 5 rm is 105 and I think 1 rm is 125.
So I’d call that an improvement.

Max time chin over bar hold : 30 seconds.
20 knees to elbows.

WOD: 7 sets of 3 shoulder presses for mass

Results:
60, 70, 80 (fail), 70, 70, 70, 70 (fail)

What a disastrous wreck. I was getting really wobbly pressing upwards, which I think is because I was using a machine designed to mimic dumbbell shoulder presses. Normally, I can press around 140 or so, so to struggle with half that just felt, well, not right. What I should have done was press barbells instead. That would have led to a more satisfying result.

Cash-out: 25 minutes on the bike, 18mph as per usual

- 8 rounds + 5 DL, 13 Pushup, 2 BJ (completed the 9th round as the timer beeped)
- I could have done some more weight on the DL
- Pushups strict, mostly broken into sets of 10-3
- BJ slow but they don’t feel as horrid as they used to
