Split jerk 3-3-3-3-3-3-3 reps

The Split Jerk was the easy part, it was resetting X3 that made adding weight difficult. I def could’ve gone up in weight, but lowering it back down safely kept me from going any further.

“The wind blows where it chooses,” Jesus said, “and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Good job fighting the temptation. better to keep it light and work form on sets of 3. Save the big stuff for singles wink

Rest and Recovery are every bit as Vital to a successful training program as the Exercise itself. The two have a symbiotic relationship, relying heavily on each other to affect positive change in the Athlete.

Split jerk 3-3-3-3-3-3-3 reps

130 - 140 - 145 - 155 - 165 - 170 - 175

I haven’t done triples of these before, but my 1RM is 190 and my 2RM is 150, so this ain’t too bad.

Nice work, @TM79, and wowie-wow-wow, @rouxleone—I look forward to being able to split jerk my body weight 2 times some day.  smile

Strong sets David wink

WEDNESDAY 140528

Split jerk 3-3-3-3-3-3-3 reps

135-155-165-175-185-195-135

Everything felt heavy, right from the beginning, but I kept adding weight and I kept making the lifts.  On the 195 I felt a bit of a twinge in my thoracic spine area, or rather the muscles to the left of it.  Anyway, decided not to be stupid and try for 200.  Honestly, I don’t think it would have happened anyway.  The 195 was a bit shaky.

Cash out: 1/2 mile jog (seemed to loosen up my back)
T-spine mobility, foam rolling, etc.

Now let’s see how sitting on my butt all day grading finals affects things.

Thanks.  Yeah, it feels pretty decent now.  I think it was more of a charlie horse/spasm or something.  Not the normal lower back pain I will have from time to time.
