Split Jerk 7x3
105x3, 120x3, 135x3, 160x3, 165x3, 170x3, 170x3
In between every other set of split jerk, I did a set of strict chest to bar pull ups - x4, x4, x5, x4

Easy 2k row - 8:12

These are a lot of fun, I should do them more often.

WU - 2000m run
WOD - 50 SDLHP (45#); 20 (feet elevated near vertical)HSPU progression; 50 SDLHP; 20 (NV)HSPU; 50 SDLHP; 20 (NV)HSPU TT=15’38”
Have I mentioned that the SDLHP is hard? At one point, I was thinking:“Couldn’t I just do some thrusters?”

I tend to think as you do. I don’t like the stress on wrists myself. Might I suggest taking a band sitting on the floor with band going across bottom of shoes. do a motion of extending legs and pulling with arms simultaneously. Seems like a closer approximation than a SDHP to a rowing motion.I will post a video link demonstrating the movement after I upload it to my vimeo account. Good luck.  here’s the Video http://vimeo.com/96852959

Good numbers. Well done! wink And your right. you should do them more often. You’d be surprised how heavy you can go in a short period of time with regular practice. Its all about adapting to the movement. I think you would be over 200 in weeks. wink

Morning all, Another year older today , 57 doesn’t sound so bad, that’s my birth year also. So I consider it a good number in my life. I think God has Blessed me greatly when I look at folks in my age group and see the poor Health they are in. An Active life style is the only way to go. I think I will enjoy this week and have My steak and Lobster dinner with Carrot cake. After that its time to reverse the scale back to 250 and drop the 400+ Deadlifts 300+ benches and do some old bodyweight type movements. Pushups, sit ups Airsquats, and the dreaded Burpees shock  Have a great day all

Happy Birthday OPG.  Make it a great day!

Couldn’t do the buy-in due to gym construction moving the barbells someplace I couldn’t lift, so…

WOD:
Puppies
3 rounds
500 m row
15 super strict push ups

Time: 10:23.2

As is often the case, I was revved up off the top and wanted a big slice of the rowing machine. Got it, but paid for it in terms of sucking wind later. All push-up sets were broken - first two 10-5 and the other 5 and then 2-3 until complete.

Cash-out: 20 minutes on the bike, as per usual

Mostly using CrossFit to tone softer parts of my body, not develop muscle mass…
Start date: 12/16/2012. Started at 210#. Still a pup for now, but hoping to move up soon!

10 Hours of Moving on 2 Hours of Sleep was my workout for the day.  My wife is 7 months pregnant so I moved EVERYTHING.  Got some help tomorrow for the big stuff, but it’s been a long day.

Happy birthday OPG!  grin

Good job to everyone today!
