Finally getting my depth back for Olympic squat , this requires greater depth and more reliance on legs than hips as in powerlifting squat form. http://vimeo.com/102690583

Something to add to that OPG is too push your knees out using your elbows.

Never have tried to have arm leg interaction since I want elbows up and want arms as far away as possible from legs receiving a heavy clean as in the case of this video   http://vimeo.com/100635273  . I prefer the box for stretching the inner thighs since I can control the load using my bodyweight. while maintaining an upright torso. The position you suggest would have me rounding forward to use my elbows and weaker posterior delts to push legs apart.  In the Olympic form squat I don’t have as much need for the same level of inner thigh stretch since the focus is more on Quads for recovery on low position squat as in Video. I can see the application for other lifters though. Thanks Big D

OPG, OF course this would be considered only a stretching position, not a catch position. We would have our kids just sit in the bottom of the squat, feet flat, relaxed and driving their knees out. Purely a stretch.
