Thanks for leading the class tonight Top Dawg!

Skill Work:
double leg off a 1-2 punch
strikes from side control
striking in the clinch while defending the takedown

WOD:
Sprawl Wars
partner workout where the first person does 1 sprawl, then the second person does 2 sprawls. 1 sprawl is added each turn until someone is unable to complete. The other person wins.

That was fun. Top Dawg is a great grappling teacher and having both Jason and Connor teaching is way cool.

....and I made it to 14 sprawls.

We have too many heroes lost and not enough workout days to commemorate them. I think it’s fitting to always think of the men and women in service, whether military or peace officers and public safety, as we do our workouts. A bit of motivation to throw a little of our sweat and maybe a drop of blood on the floor in their honor.

There is no substitute for good coaching.

It was another BX trainer who came up with “Squat Wars”—I just switched the exercise. Sprawl Wars worked great for a short fun workout. Who came up with “Squat Wars” anyway? Genius.
