I have had many discussions about who is stronger based on pound for pound.  I weigh 162 pounds and can deadlift 2 1/2 times my bodyweight.  So I can deadlift 405 pounds.  My friend who weighs 205 pounds can deadlift 435 pounds.  So for the sake of argument who is stronger?  Yes he can lift more total weight than me but he weighs 40 pounds more than I do.  So can strength be determined in reference to bodyweight?  Secondly, does any of this really matter at 3:30 in the morning.  I’m at work so I have a few minutes to ponder these thoughts.  Basically just respond to this post and say I’m stronger and I will be happy.  Not really I would like to know what people think about bodyweight and strength.  Thanks.
