Hi Mikki-
I thought you’d like to hear about this.  Here’s a coffee company based in my hometown that has coffee stores throughout the Middle East, including many near/on American bases and near the front lines.  Through the web site you can buy a cup of coffee for a soldier oversees, and attach a message to it.  He/she can send you a message back.  Good stuff.

RS,
Very cool. Think I’ll have my kids do this. A unique way to open a dialogue about the sacrifices being made that allow them to relax and swim in their pool each day.

Great idea!  It’s allowance day-my son kicked in $2 and we contributed together.

I have been to Green Bean in several deployed locations. I go to the one here in Kandahar. My weekly routine is to go on Sunday, my day off and get a cup of coffee and smoke a cigar. Kinda like my day off reward you know? The only probluem is that it is right next to the sewer pound. Smells wonderful ! LOL
