I have question of which would benefit more for first timers the 3 on 1 off program that the wod follows or 3 on 1 off then 2 on 1 off program that I have been doing.  Please explain cause I’m still debating of which one to do and also if I should Mix all programs such as crossfit endurance, football, and crosspit into the routines to give variety.  question

There’s nothing wrong right about the 3-1 all the time, v. the 3-1, 2-1.  It’s a matter of what works for your schedule and recovery.  If you can do the 3-1, go for it, it matches up with the mainsite WODs.

And the mainsite WODs are all you need to do for variety.  The others (football, endurance, CF strength bias) are crossfit with a specialization.  I would pretty much tell any new person to just do the mainpage wods for a year or two.  Once you know exactly what weaknesses you have (and at the beginning, it’s all weaknesses) then it’s a matter of deciding if you need more skill work or a specialization program.

That makes more sense.  I’ll just stick with the 3 on 1 off then 2 on 1 off.  I’ll move up to 3 on 1 off once my body is able to recover quicker.  Thanks for the advice!

For the sake of cleaniness and what have you,

How do people feel about a 5 on 2 off setup? The logisitics of when I can make it to my workout room lend itself to that kind of a schedule. Would I be setting myself up for a quick burnout, or it is feasible. I’d have to do this at least a couple months, or until I buy a house with the space to build a home facility.

May work for a 27 year old.  Doesn’t work for this 43 year old.  Listen to your body and adjust appropriately.

It works pretty good for me. I workout on my lunch breaks at work and outside of work I usually dont get the chance to do a wod, or I should say make the time to do a wod. Some days can be a little rough, like when we have three amrap days in a row. But I think those are tough for everyone. And as RS said I am 22 so it is a little different, you just need to see what works for yourself. Give it a shot if it fits your schedule better.

Goin’ for it. I know my limits fairly well, so I should be able to scale appropiately for how I’m doing with it.
