There’s nothing wrong right about the 3-1 all the time, v. the 3-1, 2-1. It’s a matter of what works for your schedule and recovery. If you can do the 3-1, go for it, it matches up with the mainsite WODs.
And the mainsite WODs are all you need to do for variety. The others (football, endurance, CF strength bias) are crossfit with a specialization. I would pretty much tell any new person to just do the mainpage wods for a year or two. Once you know exactly what weaknesses you have (and at the beginning, it’s all weaknesses) then it’s a matter of deciding if you need more skill work or a specialization program.
