We have too many heroes lost and not enough workout days to commemorate them. I think it’s fitting to always think of the men and women in service, whether military or peace officers and public safety, as we do our workouts. A bit of motivation to throw a little of our sweat and maybe a drop of blood on the floor in their honor.

Hey, Kodiak, I talked to Marco and he is impressed with the results I’ve gotten with Crossfit.

He’s open to trying out a “class” in the Fitness Center. I’ll let you know if anything pans out.

(Jeff, this is the guy who formerly was the “personal trainer” in the center and now manages it. Not a bad sell.)

Thanks, Happy Hands. It really helps that he’s known me for over 2 years and has seen what CrossFit can do. After all, I used to be a chubby computer geek and now everyone knows me as that woman that does Kickboxing and those crazy workouts.

Cool, huh? We’ll see what happens. I might not be able to get a class going but if he moves toward Crossfit methods when training people that’s a big win in itself.

So i will print him a couple of the CFJ’s and see what he thinks. He used to just be afraid I’d hurt myself!

My dilemna:

I think I can do this one “as prescribed” as long as you give me single pull ups…no hanging.

But my time will likely be over 20 minutes - maybe a little more, maybe a lot more.

How does this sound for a “Pack” version?
row 800M
15#db thrusters (= ~30#bar)
20 pullups

1000 meter row 4:05
45 pound Thruster, 50 reps 3:37
30 pull-ups 5:19

13:01 oooh…ahhh…ohhh…ahh

I thought for sure I"d break the 4 min mark on row. Oh, well…another day. Did 25 thrusters non-stop, then pooped out. The last 25 were a mix of five here, three there, two, and a couple one’s. The pull-ups knocked me out, too. ONesy-twosy again. Alternated parallel with regular grip, too.

Glad to finish.  smile
